Aku Rilek Jer
A podcast site the hosts update themselves, rebuilt in three days after the old WordPress site was hacked.
- Who for
- Malay-language podcast, Singapore
- Status
- Live
- What we built
- Custom website and admin

The brief
The podcast's WordPress site had been hacked and was serving spam pages under the show's name. Every one of those pages was a search result the hosts did not write.
They needed a clean site that listeners can browse in Malay, and one they can keep up to date themselves without calling a developer each time an episode drops.
What it does
Admin panel
Episodes, a media library, site text and social links, all editable by the hosts after signing in.
Episode browser in Malay
Search, a guest filter and newest or oldest sorting, with the interface written in Malay to match the show.
Pick the featured episode
The hosts tick one box to pin an episode to the top of the page, with its video preview ready to play.
Players that stay out of the way
Spotify and YouTube players plus a sticky player. The YouTube embed shows a still image and only loads the real player when tapped.
Every channel in one place
Links to all eight of the show's channels, from Spotify and YouTube to Instagram and TikTok, kept current from the admin panel.
Contact form without the spam
A hidden bot trap, a minimum fill time and a limit of three sends an hour, delivered straight to the hosts.
A closer look

The parts you do not see
The jobs that run quietly in the background, so nobody has to do them by hand.
- The spam pages left behind by the hack now tell Google they are gone for good, so they drop out of search results instead of lingering.
- Locked down so visitors can read everything, but only the signed-in hosts can change anything.
- Video players and visitor stats only load when they are needed, and images are shrunk, so pages open quickly on a phone.
- Search engines are told this is a Malay-language podcast, and AI assistants get a plain summary of the show.
Next up: EhSadiq Movement
A home for a TikTok live streamer's community, with a library of fan stories the team publishes from its own admin panel.
